What’s the pain in the middle of your chest when you roll over?

The pain in the middle of the chest when you turn over may be related to costochondritis, gas, spontaneous pneumothorax and so on.
1. Costal chondritis: it is mainly caused by various reasons, which leads to inflammatory reaction in the junction area of costal cartilage and sternum, manifesting as chest pain and pressure pain, and redness, swelling, heat and pain in the local skin caused by infectious factors. During the attack, there will be localized slight swelling and pain in the chest, which can be triggered or aggravated during activities such as turning over.
2. Breathlessness: mostly due to insufficient warm-up before exercise or over-exertion or improper exertion during activity, resulting in respiratory muscle spasm and pain, which can be manifested as pain in the middle of chest when turning over.
3. Spontaneous pneumothorax: Spontaneous pneumothorax is usually seen in long and thin body type people, strenuous activities or after turning over may lead to the occurrence of spontaneous pneumothorax, manifested as persistent chest pain, chest tightness, dyspnea, cough, coughing white sputum and so on.
