Hyperthyroidism is the abbreviation of hyperthyroidism. The tests that hyperthyroidism patients usually need to do include thyroid function test, iodine 131 uptake rate test, thyroid-related antibody test, ultrasonography, thyroid radionuclide scan, and so on.
1. Thyroid function test: including blood thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroxine (FT4), free triiodothyronine (FT3), these three indexes are the preferred indexes for evaluating thyroid function.
2. Iodine 131 uptake rate examination: this method is now mainly used for the identification of the etiology of thyrotoxicosis, hyperthyroidism type of thyrotoxicosis increased serum thyroid hormone levels, while the iodine 131 uptake rate is also increased.
3. Thyroid-related antibody tests: including thyroid hormone receptor antibodies and thyroid stimulating antibodies.
4. Ultrasonography: The enhanced blood flow signal of thyrotoxicosis caused by hyperthyroidism is distributed in a sheet-like manner, which can be distinguished from the image of thyrotoxicosis caused by thyroid inflammation and destruction, and replaces the role of isotope scanning of the thyroid gland.
5. Thyroid radionuclide scanning: mainly used for the differential diagnosis of hyperthyroidism, such as thyroid autonomous high-functioning adenoma, the tumor area is concentrated with a large amount of nuclide, and there is no nuclide uptake in the thyroid tissue outside the tumor area and the contralateral thyroid gland.
It is recommended that patients with hyperthyroidism go to the hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of the doctor.
