The presence of many small bumps at the opening of the cervix does not exclude the presence of nuchal cysts caused by chronic inflammation of the cervix, so a vaginal ultrasound examination is needed to determine if there are nuchal cysts in the cervix. Cervical nuchal translucency is the gold standard for vaginal ultrasound, and regular follow-up and checkups are needed if certain cervical nuchal translucency is present after the test. For example, annual TCT and HPV cancer screening can be performed, as the chance of cancer may be low and most of them are benign, without any uncomfortable symptoms, and can be followed up and observed regularly. However, it is also important to make a detailed determination during vaginal ultrasound examination if there are any manifestations of cervical fibroids occurring, because cervical fibroids can also have small bumps of different degrees.
