However, it is important to note that the drug is contraindicated in people who are known to be allergic to the product, in patients with significant pathological conditions of the heart, and in patients with moderate and severe liver damage. The drug should also not be used in conjunction with thioridazine, strong cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
