What’s wrong with sour, smelly, misshapen stools?

Sour and smelly unshaped stools may be caused by dietary factors, and may also be caused by acute enteritis, ulcerative colitis and other diseases.
1. Dietary factors: such as eating indigestible, greasy, spicy and irritating food, can cause indigestion, which leads to sour and unshaped stools.
2. Acute enteritis: refers to an acute infection of the intestinal tract that produces an inflammatory response. It can also cause sour and unformed stools, usually accompanied by abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms.
3. Ulcerative colitis: an inflammatory bowel disease of unknown etiology. It can also cause sour and unformed stools, usually accompanied by recurrent diarrhea, mucus, pus and blood stools, abdominal pain, abdominal distension and other symptoms.
There are many other causes of sour and unshaped stools, so you should consult a doctor to find out the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions for further treatment or therapy.
