What causes cramps in the second and third toes

The most common causes of cramps in the second and third toes are inappropriate shoes, muscle spasms, trauma, lumbar disc herniation and so on.
1. Inappropriate shoes: If the patient’s shoes are not the right size, repeated friction or extrusion with the second and third toes will easily cause cramps in the second and third toes, which can be relieved by resting or replacing the shoes with loose and comfortable ones.

4. Lumbar disc herniation: the herniated lumbar disc compresses the nerve root, which may also induce numbness and pain on the soles of the feet, which in turn may cause cramps in the second and third toes.
