The symptoms before menstruation are not the same as those of pregnancy. Before menstruation, most women experience discomfort in the lower abdomen, and some women experience breast swelling and pain, and emotional changes, such as being relatively sensitive or grumpy. After pregnancy, due to changes in hormone levels in the body, the breasts will increase in size, but they will be particularly soft when touched by hand, and the nipples and areolas will be colored, whereas before menstruation, the nipples and areolas of the breasts will not be colored. This is the clinical difference between premenstruation and post-pregnancy.
