The incidence of breast cancer is increasing year by year, and now it has leaped to the first place of malignant tumors in women, increasing at a rate of 3% to 4% every year. Traditional breast cancer surgery requires a large incision for tumor removal and axillary lymph node dissection, leaving a large surgical scar after surgery, and more seriously, complications such as upper limb movement disorder, severe pain and lymphedema. Breast lumpectomy can fully achieve the treatment effect of conventional surgery and significantly reduce the complications of conventional surgery, with outstanding minimally invasive, functional and cosmetic effects. Patients benefit significantly by minimizing physiological and psychological trauma, maintaining and restoring the aesthetic form and functional preservation of the female breast while treating the disease, significantly improving surgical outcomes for breast disease and the patient’s postoperative quality of life. With the wide application of lumpectomy in the field of surgery, lumpectomy for breast diseases has become another highlight of breast surgery, integrating the advantages of traditional surgery, lumpectomy and plastic surgery to form a more mature and unique lumpectomy technology system, achieving the triple effect of minimally invasive, functional and aesthetic. The development of this new technology is changing the traditional breast surgery treatment model and is the best choice for breast surgery today. The procedure is performed with only three small holes in the axilla, where the axillary fat is lysed and aspirated to form a cobweb-like structure on which the exposed lymph nodes are suspended and the operating space is maintained with CO2 gas. By bluntly separating the lymph nodes with appropriate instruments, the axillary lymph nodes are cleared. Our hospital is the first to carry out this minimally invasive technique for early stage breast cancer in the east of Guangdong.
