When the fever temperature is high and does not subside, it means that the inflammation in the body is more serious. First of all, go to the hospital to check the blood count and see if there is an elevation of white blood cells. If there are elevated white blood cells, the fever is caused by bacterial infection, antibiotic treatment should be carried out, if the penicillin is not allergic, oral amoxicillin clavulanic acid potassium treatment can be given. If there is no elevation of white blood cells, the fever is caused by viral infection and should be treated with antiviral drugs, such as Four Seasons Antiviral Combination or Ribavirin. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees, antipyretic and analgesic medications are also needed to reduce fever. For adults, acetaminophen tablets can be taken, and for children, pediatric ibuprofen suspension can be given.
