How does gout feel when it hurts

Gout pain feels like excruciating pain, with the painful area manifesting itself as severe pain that is lacerating, cutting, or biting, and the painful area refuses to be touched. Some people describe that even a gust of wind can aggravate the pain, so gout pain is very intense. It also starts very suddenly, mostly at night or early in the morning when you wake up, and the pain can reach its peak within a few hours. Generally the pain will last for 3-7 days, and after it reaches its peak, the patient’s pain will gradually decrease and eventually disappear completely. In between gout attacks, the patient may not have any symptoms until the next gouty arthritis attack. Before each attack, most of the patients have triggers such as fatigue, exposure to cold, and strenuous exercise or overeating.
