Ai Ye water external wash has the effect of eliminating dampness and relieving itching, and works to treat itchy skin and other conditions.
Ai Ye is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, for the chrysanthemum family artemisia plant Ai Ye. It has the effect of warming menstruation and stopping bleeding, dispersing cold and relieving pain, and dispelling dampness and relieving itching.
Mugwort leaf is used to treat vomiting blood, epistaxis, metrorrhagia (excessive menstrual flow or more than a few drops), fetal leakage (small amount of vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy), hemorrhage, irregular menstrual cold and infertility; it can also be used externally to treat itching of the skin. Vinegar moxa charcoal has the effect of warming menstruation and stopping bleeding, and is mainly used for treating deficiency cold bleeding.
It is used internally as decoction, in pills and powder or pounded juice; externally as smoked moxibustion, pounded compresses, decocted water fumigation or fried hot warm iron. Clinically, it is often used in combination with bitter ginseng, dahuric dahurica external washing, used for women’s hypogonadism; and cypress, windproof decoction water fumigation, used for eczema, scabies, yellow water sores.
Ai Ye adverse reactions, contraindications, precautions are not yet clear.
