What’s wrong with the pain in my neck next to my throat?

Painful pressing on the side of neck and throat may be related to acute laryngitis, laryngeal arthritis, laryngeal cancer and so on.
1. Acute laryngitis: Acute laryngitis is an acute respiratory tract infectious disease, which is mainly related to infection and excessive use of voice. Common symptoms include hoarseness, cough, sore throat, etc. Sore throat can be manifested as slight pain in front of the larynx and trachea, which is aggravated by vocalization, and part of the patients can be manifested as pain in the neck next to the throat.
2. Laryngeal arthritis: generally can cause inflammation of joints in other parts of the body, may make the laryngeal joints inflammation, such as rheumatism, gout and so on. Laryngeal arthritis will cause patients to appear sore throat, throat foreign body sensation, pain easily to the ear radiation, can be manifested as the neck and throat next to the pressing pain. Some patients also have hoarseness of different degrees.
3. Laryngeal cancer: Laryngeal cancer is related to long-term smoking, infection and other factors. Common symptoms include hoarseness, cough, local pain, throat discomfort, choking, difficulty in breathing, difficulty in swallowing, etc. Some patients may have pain in neck and throat due to tumor stimulation or invasion of surrounding tissues.
