What to do if your eyes are swollen from trauma to reduce the swelling quickly

Depending on the degree of eyelid swelling, cold compresses, hot compresses or surgical treatments should be given.
1. Cold compresses, hot compresses: eye trauma, resulting in tissue fluid leakage and bruising, causing swelling. If the swelling is not severe, cold compresses can be applied within 48 hours of the trauma to help vasoconstrict the blood vessels and minimize the exudation of tissues to avoid further swelling, and then hot compresses can be applied to promote the absorption of the tissues and blood after 48 hours.
2. Surgery: If the amount of bleeding is relatively large, the swelling is extremely heavy, or even the formation of a local hematoma, the blood hardened to form a blood clot, the swelling will have little chance of dissipating in the later stages, and surgical incision is required.
If the eye suffers discomfort after trauma, it is recommended to immediately go to the hospital to check for other intraocular lesions to avoid delay.
