When liver metastasis occurs in rectal cancer, the specific survival time is closely related to the severity of the patient’s disease and the treatment method, which cannot be generalized. After liver metastasis of rectal cancer occurs, patients need timely treatment. If it is a single metastasis in the liver, it can be treated by surgery, while patients who cannot be removed can receive systemic chemotherapy in time, and the survival period is mostly about 1 year. If rectal cancer metastasizes to liver, patients who do not have timely anti-tumor treatment and are in poor condition with poor differentiation of pathological types, liver failure and liver ascites may appear soon and the survival time is mostly 3-6 months, and some severe cases may die in 1-2 months due to multi-organ failure. Patients are advised to eat as little fried, smoked and pickled food as possible, to eat easily digestible food, and to avoid spicy, irritating and greasy food.
