Is it better to extract the root of a stump or not to extract it

Residual tooth root extraction or not need to consult a doctor to check, if it has retention value, do not pull better; if no retention value, pull better.
1. With retention value: if the residual root is long, defective to the gingiva, or to a side of the bad to the subgingival shallow, generally can be considered to be retained, without extraction, can be endodontically treated after the pile nuclear crown restoration, if necessary, consider crown lengthening operation after the pile nuclear crown restoration.
2. No value of retention: If the residual tooth root is short, or the defect is deeper than 4mm to the gingiva, it is generally considered to be of little significance for retention, and the long-term treatment effect is poor, and the residual tooth root can be considered to be extracted, and the activity denture, fixed bridge or implant prosthesis restoration can be carried out on a later date.
