Yellowish-green leucorrhea is mainly caused by trichomoniasis or septic vaginitis. Most cases of trichomoniasis are due to a dysbiosis of the normal vaginal Trichomonas vaginalis, which is caused by a dysbiosis of the flora in the vagina when the body’s resistance is low, resulting in a yellowish-green leucorrhea. It is often accompanied by varying degrees of vulvar itching and, if the vaginitis has been present for a long time, a burning sensation in the vagina. When yellowish-green leucorrhea is seen in the vagina, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a routine leucorrhea test to confirm whether it is trichomoniasis or pyogenic vaginitis. In case of trichomoniasis, the main treatment is metronidazole suppositories, while in case of septic vaginitis, it is recommended to use tinidazole suppositories or povidone-based suppositories. During the treatment of vaginitis, it is recommended to eat a light diet and avoid spicy and stimulating foods.
