How to treat tibial tuberculosis

Tibial tuberculitis, can be relieved by general treatment, physical therapy, medication and surgery. 1. General treatment: rest should be ensured as much as possible, and strenuous exercise should be avoided, otherwise it will cause excessive weight bearing of the affected limb. If necessary, the patient’s lower limbs can be properly braked with plaster external fixation. 2. Physiotherapy: hot towels or hot water bags can be used for localized hot compresses, or electromagnetic therapy, infrared irradiation and other physiotherapy, which is conducive to reducing inflammation and relieving pain and other symptoms. 3. Medication: If the patient’s pain symptoms are obvious, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken orally, such as diclofenac sodium, ibuprofen, meloxicam, etc., which is conducive to the elimination of inflammation and the reduction of pain symptoms. 4. Surgical treatment: If the symptoms are not relieved after a long period of conservative treatment, small needle technique can be used. If necessary, tibial tubercle resection can be chosen for surgical treatment. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor, avoid self-medication.
