Grading criteria and treatment recommendations for reactive capillary hyperplasia

Grade 1

Grading Clinical presentation Treatment recommendations
Single largest diameter ≤10mm with or without ruptured bleeding Continue medication and use gauze to protect friction-prone areas from bleeding. Those with ruptured bleeding may be treated with local compression to stop bleeding
Grade 2 Single maximum diameter >10 mm with or without ruptured bleeding Continue medication and use gauze to protect friction-prone areas from bleeding. For ruptured bleeding, local pressure may be applied to stop bleeding, or local therapeutic measures such as laser or surgical excision may be taken. Avoid infection at the site of rupture
Grade 3 Pancreasized, can be complicated by skin infection, may require hospitalization Suspend medication and resume administration after recovery to grade ≤1. The friction-prone area may be protected with gauze to avoid bleeding. Local pressure may be applied to stop bleeding in cases of rupture and bleeding, or local therapeutic measures such as laser or surgical excision may be taken, and anti-infective treatment is given in cases of co-infection
Grade 4 Multiple and pancytopenia, life-threatening Permanent discontinuation of medication
Grade 5 Death
