Are low-density nodules in the liver serious?

Intrahepatic hypodense nodules are a manifestation of the liver on CT imaging. If it is a benign nodule, it is usually not serious; if it is a malignant nodule, such as metastatic cancer, primary tumor and other conditions, it is very serious. 1. Benign nodules: generally considered as liver cysts, hepatic hemangiomas, hepatic adenomas, etc., which are generally not serious, and only need to go to the hospital for rechecking regularly, and basically can be cured after meeting the indications for surgery. 2. Malignant nodules: If intrahepatic low-density nodules belong to malignant nodules, such as primary hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, etc., malignant nodules have the characteristics of strong invasiveness and easy to metastasize, and the clinical treatment is limited, and the untimely treatment will jeopardize the patient’s life, so it is a more serious case. It is recommended that when patients find low-density nodules in the liver, they should go to the hospital in time to improve the relevant examination, and clarify the nature of the nodules by means of enhanced CT, MRI, or even puncture biopsy, and carry out reasonable treatment under the guidance of doctors.
