What to do after carbon monoxide poisoning

Inhalation of oxygen accelerates COHb dissociation and increases CO excretion. When fresh air is inhaled, CO is released from COHb. Place the patient in the fresh air, keep the airway open, quickly correct the hypoxic state.1, oxygen therapy, with conditions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.2, symptomatic, supportive therapy: prevention and treatment of cerebral edema; nutrition of brain cells; high fever, convulsions of patients with artificial hibernation therapy.3, comatose patients, turn over at regular intervals, to prevent decubitus ulcers and pneumonia; pay attention to nutrition, if necessary, nasal feeding.4, ECG monitoring.
