Rehabilitation training for Achilles tendonitis generally needs to be carried out after the condition is stabilized, mainly including calf muscle strength training, ankle mobility training, gait training and so on.
1. Calf muscle strength training: Achilles tendonitis needs braking and resting in the early stage, and in the later stage, after the symptoms are relieved, the phenomenon of calf muscle atrophy may occur. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out calf muscle strength training through isometric contraction with isotonic contraction, such as centrifugal straight knee descent, centrifugal flexion descent, and so on.
2. Ankle joint mobility training: Achilles tendonitis can easily cause pain in the Achilles tendon area, so it may affect the range of motion of the ankle joint at a later stage. After the condition is stabilized, it is necessary to stretch the ankle joint appropriately to maintain the normal range of motion, and carry out targeted ankle mobility training.
3. Gait training: Achilles tendonitis may affect the walking posture in the later stage. Therefore, after the inflammation is under control, gait training is needed, such as striding and weight-bearing of the lower limbs, to improve walking posture and prevent gait abnormalities.
It is recommended that patients with Achilles tendonitis consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of a professional doctor, do not blindly exercise to avoid adverse consequences.
