What kind of medicine is Jintan Pill?

Jindan Pill is a proprietary Chinese medicine with the effects of tonifying the kidney and warming the yang, benefiting the qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach).
The main ingredients of Jindan Pill are antler velvet, silkworm moth, bonesetter, ginseng, cistanchis, barberry, cornelian cherry, cow’s knee, yi zhi ren, atractylodes macrocephala, yam and other drugs. This product is mostly used to treat conditions such as lumbar and knee soreness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee regions), coldness and limb coldness (fear of cold, cold limbs), loss of appetite, loose stools (thin and unformed feces), and excessive nocturia due to deficiency of kidney qi and deficiency of the spleen.
Jindan Pills because of favoring warm tonic, on the Yin deficiency of internal heat or solid heat disease of the crowd, are prohibited to take. It should be used with caution in cases of hyperthyroidism. Adverse effects are not known.
