Effects of Clohexine Dry Suspension

Clohexine dry suspension is a compound formulation, the main active ingredients include cefaclor and bromohexine hydrochloride. Cefaclor is an antibiotic that belongs to the second generation of cephalosporins and has some antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus straw green and Staphylococcus epidermidis. In addition, it also has some antibacterial activity against some gram-negative bacteria, such as Catamoras and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Cefaclor exerts its antibacterial effect mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. Another component of this drug, bromhexine, acts as a sputum diluent, causing fibrosis and degradation of mucopolysaccharides in sputum, resulting in a decrease in sputum viscosity and an increase in secretion, thereby thinning sputum and making it easy to cough up for a clear airway. It is suitable for patients with respiratory tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria and with thick sputum that cannot be easily coughed out.
