What is chronic endometritis?

Endometritis is a common gynecological disease that is divided into acute endometritis and chronic endometritis depending on its onset, while chronic endometritis is not easily detected and can be easily overlooked. Although endometritis is not a particularly serious disease, once it occurs, it can seriously affect a woman’s health. Chronic endometritis commonly occurs during menstruation, after miscarriage and childbirth. Under normal circumstances, a woman’s vagina is in an acidic environment and her cervix has mucus, which is the body’s physiological barrier against bacterial invasion. However, under special circumstances, such as menstruation, childbirth, miscarriage and various uterine surgeries, this barrier function is weakened or even disappears. This can easily lead to bacterial invasion and cause endometritis. The mild acidic formula of feminine care lotion can maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. In addition, older women are prone to age-related vaginitis and further development of endometritis due to the decrease in vaginal acidity and increase in cervical mucus plugs as a result of declining estrogen. To sum up, it is recommended that women should pay attention to personal hygiene in their daily life and have regular gynecological checkups to find out problems and treat them in time to avoid delaying them from becoming serious gynecological diseases that are difficult to cure.
