How effective is entecavir in treating cirrhosis

Entecavir tablets do not treat cirrhosis of the liver, let alone their effectiveness in treating cirrhosis. Entecavir tablets are a western drug that is an antiviral. It is used for the treatment of chronic adult hepatitis B with active viral replication, persistent elevation of serum alanine aminotransferase, or liver histology showing active lesions. Entecavir tablets are guanine nucleoside analogs with inhibitory effect on hepatitis B virus polymerase. Cirrhosis is due to a variety of causes of liver necrosis and fibrosis, because entecavir tablets do not have anti-hepatic fibrosis, so it is even less likely that its treatment of cirrhosis has any effect. If there is a need for medication, it should be prescribed by a doctor after a clear diagnosis, and should not be used blindly on its own, so as not to cause adverse effects on the body.
