What to do if the inside of the soles of your feet are itchy

Itchy soles may be physiological, such as shoes and socks are not breathable, damp and hot, change shoes and socks can be relieved; there may also be tinea pedis or eczema and other pathological factors, the need to actively treat the primary disease, the symptoms can only be relieved, usually can be treated with medication.
1. Physiological factors: if the footwear is not breathable, the local area of the soles of the feet is humid and hot, sweat or hot and humid environment makes the local skin stimulated, and temporary itchy soles of the feet occur, it is recommended to avoid scratching, and change the breathable footwear or take off the shoes and socks at regular intervals to relieve the itchy soles of the feet.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Tinea pedis: caused by fungal infections, mostly occurring on the soles of the feet, between the toes at the skin, can be manifested as erythema, pimples, vesicles, thickening of the skin, accompanied by symptoms of itching, and is contagious.
When there is no exudation from the affected area, miconazole nitrate cream, ketoconazole cream and other antifungal ointment can be used externally, if there is an erosion, usually use 3% boric acid solution as a wet compress, to be localized after drying can be used externally as an antifungal ointment; local lesions can be used externally as salicylic acid ointment, etc. When infection is serious, it can be used externally as an itchy symptom. When the infection is serious, the systematic application of antifungal drugs such as itraconazole, terbinafine, etc. can be prescribed by the doctor.
(2) Acute eczema: manifested as erythema, papules, pimples, itching on the soles of the feet, and the symptoms may be aggravated when sweating.
Patients need to pay attention to avoid scratching, avoid hot water washing. If local oozing occurs, 3% boric acid solution can be used externally for wet compresses; local dryness, no oozing, can be used externally with compound dexamethasone cream and other glucocorticosteroid ointment coated. If the itching is obvious, oral antihistamines such as loratadine and ebastine can be taken.
It is recommended that patients with symptoms of itching on the inside of the soles of the feet, after excluding physiological factors, should go to a regular hospital in time to find out the cause of the problem, and standardize the use of medication under the guidance of the doctor.
