Dental implants can be placed two years after tooth extraction. The implant surgery can be performed three months after tooth extraction. The extraction trauma can be fully recovered at about three months, and with the formation of sufficient bone tissue, there will be significant bone support to achieve implant stability. If there is no significant bone defect in the implant area, the stability of the implant can be ensured and the dental implant surgery can be performed at this time. If there is significant inflammation or bone loss in the implant area, the implant cannot be placed and the implant will need to be placed after the inflammation has subsided. If the inflammation subsides and there is still a significant bone defect, additional procedures such as bone grafting and bone augmentation may be required during the implant surgery.
