Colon cancer may cause anemia, intestinal stenosis, intestinal obstruction, organ function damage and failure and other hazards, which need timely treatment.
1. Anemia: mainly due to necrosis, shedding and chronic blood loss of cancerous foci.
2. Bowel stenosis and intestinal obstruction: mainly due to proliferation or invasion of cancerous tumor, which can be manifested as distortion and thinning of stool in early stage, or intestinal obstruction in serious cases.
3. Organ damage or functional failure
(1) Invasion of prostate bladder: frequent urination, painful urination, hematuria and so on.
(2) Invasion of presacral nerve: persistent severe pain in the sacrococcygeal region.
(3) Invasion of liver: it may lead to liver function damage or failure, with manifestations such as ascites, jaundice, anemia and emaciation.
If colon cancer is suspected, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to get a clear diagnosis as soon as possible and active treatment to prolong the survival period and improve the prognosis.
