Uterine adhesion is the adhesion of tissues in the uterine cavity, resulting in partial or total occlusion of the uterine cavity, and the patient may experience abnormal menstruation, cyclic abdominal pain, infertility, repeated miscarriage or preterm labor, and so on.
Uterine adhesions are mainly caused by uterine surgery such as abortion, curettage and other uterine procedures that damage the uterine lining, or endometritis that leads to a localized inflammatory reaction in the uterine cavity. Adhesions between the various inner walls of the uterus caused by damage to the lining of the uterus adhere to each other, resulting in partial or even total occlusion of the uterine cavity.
Patients with uterine adhesions may experience a series of clinical manifestations such as cyclic abdominal pain, decreased menstrual flow, amenorrhea, secondary infertility, and habitual abortion.
Women with these symptoms are advised to seek timely medical treatment, improve ultrasound, hysteroscopy and other related examinations, make a clear diagnosis under the guidance of the doctor, and target treatment in order to restore the normal shape of the uterine cavity, alleviate the symptoms and prevent recurrence.
