When a child has a cold, there are many kinds of cold medicines, and you need to choose the right medicine according to the symptoms of the child’s cold. In case of nasal congestion and runny nose, you can give your child simple cold medicine, such as pediatric aminophenol pseudo-lax dispersible tablets, pediatric cold and fever granules, or pediatric aminophenol xanthamine granules. If your child has a sore throat, you can give him/her a Chinese anti-inflammatory medicine, such as Banlangen granules, Pudilan anti-inflammatory oral liquid, or Four Seasons antiviral combination. If your child has a mild cough and phlegm caused by a cold, you can use An’er Ning granules to relieve it, or use Lung Power Cough Compound or Ambrotrop Oral Solution to treat it, which are more effective. When a cold may also be caused by bacterial infection, antibiotics can be given to the child for anti-inflammatory purposes, such as pediatric cefixime granules or cefadroxil granules, which are more commonly used.
