The thyroid function is normal, and the thyroid gland is thickened and echogenic, if the thyroid-related antibodies are also normal, it may not be a big problem. Normal thyroid function does not mean that there is no autoimmune abnormality of the thyroid gland. Thickening of the thyroid gland with uneven echogenicity suggests that there may be thyroid nodules, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and other diseases. The patient needs to further improve the thyroid-related antibody test, if the result is normal, regular review of thyroid function is sufficient; if the result is abnormal, it suggests that the patient has autoimmune disease, and needs to clarify the cause of the disease and then treat it. It is recommended that the patient undergoes regular checkups and seeks prompt medical attention if there is any discomfort.
