Skin amyloidosis can be treated with medication, surgery and physical therapy.
1. Drug therapy: there are some differences between individuals, the following drugs are recommended to be used under the guidance of a doctor. The macular or papular type can be treated with glucocorticosteroids (such as mometasone furoate cream) and retinoic acid cream. For those with obvious itching, oral antihistamine drugs, such as loratadine and ebastine, can be taken.
2. Surgical treatment: Nodular type can be treated with surgical excision or skin abrasion. It is not suitable for patients with skin surface infection or scarring.
3. Physical therapy: nodular type can also be treated with liquid nitrogen cryotherapy and carbon dioxide cauterization.
Patients with skin amyloidosis are advised to visit a hospital for professional guidance and treatment.
