Also known as glutaraldehyde estradiol, Tegretol is an estrogen that is used primarily in combination with progestin to establish an artificial cycle or alone to promote endometrial growth. Its adverse effects include early pregnancy reactions, irregular vaginal bleeding, amenorrhea, weight gain and brown pigmentation. The reason for weight gain on Tegretol is that estrogen can cause water and sodium retention, increase HDL levels, and also increase triglyceride levels. However, after stopping estrogen, the symptoms can be relieved or even disappear. Not all people can use Tocopherol. It is not suitable for patients with severe cardiovascular disease, thromboembolic disease, some malignant tumors, precancerous lesions, diabetes, hyperthyroidism and psychosis. Women aged 35 years or older are prone to increased incidence of cardiovascular disease and need to be used with caution. Patients with recurrent severe migraine headaches should also be used with caution.
