Rehabilitation exercises after elbow fracture include functional exercises for joints and muscles. Early passive joint mobilization can be performed after joint fracture surgery. Passive joint mobilization given to the patient within 2-3 days after surgery is crucial for the patient’s future joint rehabilitation. In addition, early passive activities can increase muscle strength training appropriately, which is helpful for patients. Early passive elbow flexion and extension should be given to the patient during dressing changes or otherwise, while preventing stiffness and adhesion of the joint. In addition, active muscle strength exercises, such as lifting the arms or dumbbells and clenching the fists, can increase local muscle strength and prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis and muscle atrophy.
