Typically, a lung nodule RADS category 2 is not considered serious. Lung nodule LU-RADS category 2 is a result of imaging tests that classify lung nodules according to the Lung-RADS system. Lung nodule RADS category 2 suggests a benign nodule with a less than 1% chance of malignancy and requires regular review. The main basis for determining benign nodules on imaging is the imaging characteristics, without taking into account the results of other tests, such as tumor markers, and is easily influenced by the doctor’s experience, so RADS 2 does not mean that the lung nodule is absolutely benign. If the diameter of the nodule increases gradually during follow-up, it is necessary to further investigate other causes, such as lung puncture biopsy, to clarify the nature of the lung nodule. It is recommended that patients with lung nodules should go to a regular hospital as soon as possible to avoid delaying their condition.
