What is the diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori?

Helicobacter pylori is currently diagnosed using ancillary tests, and is generally treated with quadruple therapy. 1. Diagnosis: At present, the carbon 13 or carbon 14 urea breath test is more commonly used for the detection of Helicobacter pylori, as well as the monoclonal antibody enzyme-linked immunoassay to detect Hp antigen in stool, and some invasive tests, such as the rapid urease test, bacterial culture, and staining microscopy of gastric mucous membrane tissue sections. 2. Treatment: At present, a quadruple therapy of one proton pump inhibitor + two antibiotics + one bismuth agent is generally used, such as omeprazole + amoxicillin + metronidazole + bismuth potassium citrate. If the patient develops the infection of Helicobacter pylori, he/she should go to the hospital in time for consultation and standardized treatment.
