Children with punctate psoriasis fade in a few months

The reason why children are prone to psoriasis punctata is often related to bacterial infections, i.e. Streptococcus haemolyticus infections, especially in patients prone to tonsillar enlargement, and to psoriasis punctata. After applying regular treatment, the majority of patients can experience significant remission within 1-2 months, while some patients need 3 months before the skin symptoms slowly subside. Generally, this time is directly related to the patient’s ability to control the bacterial infection, and some patients with poor control of the bacterial infection may need to extend the course of the disease. Therefore, patients should be instructed to avoid trauma and repeated scratching of the skin during the treatment period.
