Early Symptoms of Perianal Cancer

Early symptoms of perianal cancer include lump, itching, pain, bleeding, etc. Perianal malignant tumors include perianal squamous carcinoma, perianal basal cell carcinoma, perianal malignant melanoma and so on.
1. Perianal squamous carcinoma: its earliest manifestation is a lump at the anal verge, which grows slowly and is often accompanied by discomfort and itching, and when the tumor infringes on the anal canal and sphincter, pain will appear. Later in the course of the disease, ulcers often form and are accompanied by pain and bleeding. Examination may reveal a hard mass with ulcers around the anus.
2. Perianal basal cell carcinoma: there are nodular lumps in the early stage, with slow growth and ulcers in the center, and other symptoms include bleeding, pain, itching and secretion.
3. Perianal malignant melanoma: manifested as prolapse of anal mass, blood in stool, protruding mass and so on.
(1) Prolapse of anal mass: in early stage, the mass is small and can be returned by itself, but in late stage, it is as big as chicken egg or walnut, which needs to be held back by hand.
(2) Blood in stool: mostly fresh blood or black overflow, with foul odor.
(3) Protruding lumps: local protruding lumps can be seen, usually 3-6cm, nodular, cauliflower-like, with short and wide tips, most of which are purple-black or brown-black.
Patients should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying the condition.
