How to reset a misaligned calf

Calf dislocation is mostly due to fracture. Calf fracture can be repositioned by manipulation and surgery.
If the displacement of the fracture is small, it can be repositioned by a professional doctor and externally immobilized with a plaster.
If the displacement of the fracture is large or accompanied by nerve or blood vessel injury, surgical incision may be required for repositioning and fixation with internal plate or external fixation bracket. In the case of open wounds, bone traction is usually performed to maintain the repositioning, and then surgery is performed after the local soft tissue injury has improved.
After the reduction and fixation, rehabilitation exercises should also be actively performed under the guidance of professional doctors. Appropriate exercises will help the swelling subside and avoid muscle atrophy and stiffness of the knee and ankle joints, so as to promote the recovery of the fracture.
