Eczema is known as damp sores in Chinese medicine. There are more types of methods for draining dampness, which are identified and treated by a medical professional and are effective for damp-heat types as well as spleen-deficiency-dampness-containing types of eczema sores. It does not treat all eczema.
Damp-heat-impregnated type is manifested by flushed and swollen skin lesions, vesicles and running water, which are immersed into flakes and then crusted, accompanied by intense itching, which can be cleared by clearing away heat and removing dampness, and the internal treatment of which is castor seed and dampness-impregnated soup. Spleen deficiency and dampness evidence, see the onset of slower, red skin, itching with vesicles, oozing and scales, accompanied by dullness (no appetite, reduced food), tiredness and fatigue, etc., can strengthen the spleen and promote dampness, take the dehumidification of the stomach ling soup plus subtractions.
The blood deficiency and wind dryness type is characterized by a long course of the disease, recurrent wet sores, skin lesions that are dull in color, hypertrophied, erythematous, hyperpigmented, with blood crusts and desquamation, accompanied by dizziness and fatigue, and requires the administration of Sizi Tang or Angelica Drinking Tonic with additions and subtractions. This kind of eczema can not be treated simply by draining dampness.
Eczema needs to be treated with medication under the guidance of a doctor, and cannot be treated simply by removing dampness, so as to avoid aggravation of the condition by incorrect medication.
