How to get a skin implant

Depending on the depth of the burn, the surgical implant is chosen to repair the wound. How to implant the skin? For burn wounds, first of all, it is necessary to do a good job of understanding the patient’s whole body condition and treating the wounds well when factors affecting the implantation are excluded. If there is no necrotic tissue, no contaminants, and a very clean wound, then surgical implantation should be performed. There is also the issue of the skin donor area, which should be selected, and the type of skin piece should be chosen according to the trauma, such as medium-thickness skin, full-thickness skin, or even skin flap with vascular tip for repair, but of course, the thinner skin should be chosen for shallow trauma. In case of skin donor, the best possible skin flap should be chosen for repair to avoid scarring later. If the injury is functional, it is recommended to use thicker skin to avoid the later scarring on the function. After the surgery, the skin piece must be fixed firmly by a suitable method to avoid edema, which can affect the survival of the skin piece. After the surgery, the patient should be given reasonable care and treatment to ensure the survival of the surgical implant.
