Role of clindamycin

Clindamycin works mainly as an antimicrobial treatment, but may have some adverse reactions during its use. Clindamycin is mainly used to treat serious infections caused by streptococcus, pneumococcus and staphylococcus, respiratory tract infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, serious infections of the skin and soft tissues, sepsis, and intra-abdominal infections, and bacterial vaginosis. Clindamycin may be used with abdominal pain, esophagitis, nausea, vomiting, esophageal ulcers, mild to moderate measles, itching of the skin, jaundice, and in severe cases, fatal colitis as well as anaphylactic shock. Clindamycin is mainly used for the treatment of bacterial infections, but specific should be used under the guidance of a doctor, not to self-medication.
