Four months after the patella fracture surgery exercise mainly includes the inner thigh muscle strength training, squatting training, balance training and other training and other exercise methods.
1. Medial thigh muscle strength training: medial oblique femoral muscle is crucial to stabilize patella movement. With the help of elastic band, one end is fixed on the wall, the other end is tied above the right knee, tighten the elastic band, keep one side of the leg straight, one side slightly flexed, slowly small range of flexion and extension of the knee joint, repeat 3 to 4 groups, 15 to 20 times per group, and then change the other leg and so repeat.
2. Squatting training: static squatting exercises, gradually increase the angle of squatting, the maximum angle does not exceed 90 °, keep 1 ~ 2 minutes, each group of exercises 5 ~ 10 times, 3 ~ 4 groups per day. Under the protection of the affected side of the single-leg squatting exercises, 2 to 3 groups per day, 15 to 20 times per group.
3. Balance training: put your back on the wall and stand on the soft cushion, place a Swiss ball between the wall and your back, separate your feet and shoulder width, squatting, hugging the upper limbs up to the chest, etc., and control the training time according to the patient’s tolerance.
4. Other training: including up and down stairs training, power bicycle training, proprioceptive training, jogging and other training.
During the recovery period after patella fracture surgery, patients need to train under the guidance of doctors and rehabilitation therapists, do not blindly exercise on your own to avoid adverse consequences.
