What to do if you are diagnosed with early-stage cervical cancer with a normal SCC value?

SCC refers to squamous cell carcinoma antigen.Normal SCC value confirms the diagnosis of early-stage cervical cancer and should be treated with anti-tumor therapy as early as possible, and according to the clinical staging, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other comprehensive treatments should be taken.
In the clinic, about 80% of cervical cancer patients have elevated SCC level in serum, that is, about 20% of cervical cancer patients have SCC within normal range, so it is possible to get cervical cancer with normal SCC. Early stage cervical cancer is usually treated by surgery combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
If the lesion of cervical cancer is only confined to the cervix, it will be directly treated by surgery. If the cervical cancer goes beyond the uterus but does not reach the pelvis or one-third of the vagina, it can be treated by surgery combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. If the cervical cancer tumor spreads to the pelvis or infiltrates the bladder, etc., it belongs to advanced cervical cancer and can only be treated by chemotherapy or targeted drugs.
If SCC value is normal and early cervical cancer is diagnosed, it is recommended to consult doctor in time, complete relevant examination, clarify the cause of the disease under doctor’s guidance, and take active targeted treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
