What should I do if I drink and urinate too much?

Water is one of the essential substances for our survival, but not more is better, both adults and children, there are certain limits to the amount of water they can drink on a daily basis, too much or too little is not okay, so in daily life parents should observe whether their children’s daily water intake is normal. In general, children should not drink or urinate more than 3000 ml per square meter of body surface area per day. In other words, a child weighing about 10 kg should not drink or urinate more than 1,300 ml per day, a child weighing 15 kg should not drink or urinate more than 1,800 ml per day, a child weighing about 20 kg should not drink or urinate more than 3,400 ml per day, and a child weighing about 30 kg should not drink or urinate more than 3,500 ml per day. For example, if the child has recently caught a cold or a fever and thus needs more water than usual, or if there is a misunderstanding in feeding, because the child is afraid of getting a fire, the child will drink more water and drink and urinate more artificially, or if the child is drinking more water because the child is consuming a lot of high-sugar drinks or eating too much salt. Except for the above-mentioned reasons, if you observe that your child has to drink and urinate several times at night, or if your child who has been able to control urination happens to urinate at night again, you should be alert to the occurrence of diabetes, hyperthyroidism, uremia, chronic renal failure and renal tubular acidosis, etc. You should take your child to the hospital as soon as possible to avoid delaying the diagnosis and treatment.
