Post-esophageal ESD refers to the symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty in swallowing, cough, etc. after esophageal cancer surgery if there is in situ recurrence. There is a possibility of in situ recurrence after esophageal cancer surgery, and the following symptoms will usually appear: 1. Chest pain: it usually manifests as pain behind the sternum, which may radiate to the back, presenting persistent hidden pain without regularity. 2. Dysphagia: a feeling of obstruction is felt when eating, especially when eating dry food, symptoms of stinging and dysphagia may occur. 3. Cough: because recurrent cancer cells invade trachea and lung tissues, they may stimulate mucosa of trachea leading to respiratory system symptoms such as cough and hemoptysis.
