How to tell if you’ve recovered after a normal labor tear

If there is no pain, redness, swelling, etc. in the wound after suture of a normal delivery tear, it usually indicates that the wound has recovered.
The wound of a normal delivery tear usually recovers 1~2 weeks after delivery, and the wound without redness, swelling, pain and oozing, etc., mostly suggests that the wound has recovered; on the contrary, if there is redness, swelling or purulent secretion in the local wound, etc., it mostly suggests that the wound is infected.
Mothers should pay attention to keep the local area dry and clean after delivery, use iodine povidone to disinfect, avoid doing quick squatting movements, and avoid excessive force when defecating and urinating, so as not to affect the recovery of the wound.
If the wound continues to be red, swollen and painful after being stitched up after a normal delivery, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, and under the guidance of the doctor, complete the relevant examinations to clarify the cause of the disease and provide symptomatic treatment.
