The generic name for hydrogen peroxide is hydrogen peroxide solution, and if relevant indications such as purulent otitis externa or otitis media are present, cleaning the ears with hydrogen peroxide solution can be beneficial.
Hydrogen peroxide solution is indicated for purulent otitis externa, otitis media, tonsillitis, gingival abscess leakage and cleaning wounds with disinfecting and cleansing properties. The drug may cause irritating burns on the skin and mucous membranes, the formation of painful “white scabs”, and should be used with caution in allergic individuals.
It should be noted that hydrogen oxide solution is easy to decompose and deteriorate when exposed to light and heat, so it should be shielded from light, sealed, and stored in a cool place to avoid adverse effects when using the drug.
It is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions to use the drug, not blindly use the drug on their own.
