The route of circulation of the pericardium meridian of the syncopal heart is roughly from the middle of the chest all the way down the inner side of the arm to the ring finger, and its specific route is as follows: It starts from the middle of the chest and passes downward through the diaphragm to contact the upper, middle and lower triple jiao from the chest to the abdomen. Its branch chakra travels from the chest to the outside, to 3 inches below the axilla, then upwards to the axilla, downwards along the inner side of the upper arm between the taiyin and shaoyin meridians of the hand, into the elbow, then downwards to the forearm, along the two tendons, into the palm, and then into the middle of the palm, and then to the end of the middle finger. The branch meridian divides from the palm and runs along the ring finger to the end of the finger. The Hand Convulsive Yin Pericardium Meridian is mainly used for the treatment of cardiothoracic and psychosomatic disorders: heart pain, palpitations, heartburn, chest tightness, epilepsy; gastrointestinal disorders: stomach pain, vomiting; and other disorders in the areas where this meridian circulates: pain in the inner upper arm, contractural pain in the elbow, arm and wrist, and heat in the palm. It is important to note that if you are unwell, please seek medical attention, and acupuncture treatment needs to be performed by a professional doctor.
