The drug has the efficacy of soothing the liver and regulating qi, harmonizing the stomach and relieving pain. It can be clinically used in treating liver-stomach disharmony (disharmony between the ascending functions of the liver and descending functions of the stomach and internal organs), liver-qi stagnation (poor transportation of qi and blood in the liver, emotional depression), distension and fullness in the chest and hypochondrium (collectively referred to as the thorax and the ribcage area), vomiting of acid, and epigastric (abdominal) pain, and other disorders. The adverse reactions and contraindications of the drug are not known, but the drug is recommended to be taken with boiled water.
